POSITION: SOFTWARE ENGINEER

EMPLOYER NAME: GOVERNMENT SCIENTIFIC SOURCE, INC.

Position Duties:

  • Designs databases, writes and optimizes SQL statements for applications.
  • (MVC) designs, develops, and configures the software modules, interfaces, and components in ASP.NET. Design and develop the user interface for the application.
  • Designs and develops JavaScript code in the jQuery library for web applications, to manipulate HTML, handle events, animations, and Ajax.
  • Designs and develops applications based on the object-oriented programming model that relies on classes and objects.
  • Designs and develops software applications by writing complex code. Designs and develops code for web and desktop applications in Microsoft Visual Studio, an integrated development environment (IDE) to edit and deploy code.
  • Assists the Sr. Software Engineer in training Junior Software Engineers.
  • Designs and develops code, functionality, and user interfaces for the Enterprise Resource Planning software: Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered, software development engineer, or a closely related occupation.
  • 2 years of experience must include each of the following:
  1. Write SQL statements for applications;
  2. (MVC) develop the software modules, interfaces, and components in ASP.NET;
  3. Develop the user interface for the application;
  4. Develop JavaScript code in the jQuery library for web applications, to manipulate HTML, handle events, animations, and Ajax;
  5. Develop code in the Microsoft C# language to build web and/or desktop applications;
  6. Develop software applications;
  7. Develop code for web and desktop applications in Microsoft Visual Studio, an integrated development environment (IDE) to edit and deploy code; and Support more senior developer by debugging, testing, and troubleshooting existing applications.
